If the latest celebrity engagement rings are any indication of the bridal jewelry trends poised to enchant would-be brides in the coming months (and we think they are), it’s time for retailers to double down on classic, solitaire-style diamond rings.

The most unexpected and high-profile engagement of late comes courtesy of Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who at 19 just said “yes” to sweetheart Jake Bongiovi, who’s only 20 (and the son of Jon Bon Jovi). Closeups of the ring haven’t been released, but Bongiovi gave the actress what appears to be a round- or oval-shaped diamond on a thin gold band. Size-wise, it’s surely a three-plus-carat stone.

Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens is wearing an even bigger oval-cut diamond—in late 2022 she social media-debuted her huge oval solitaire engagement ring in a sweet Instagram post featuring a photo of her and her fiancé, MLB star Cole Tucker, cuddled up in front of the Eiffel Tower
Hudgens, sporting long, dagger-like burgundy nails (she loves edgy nails), gave her fans a closeup of the pretty ring, which features a thin, unembellished band. “YES. We couldn’t be happier,” she captioned the post.

Kate Bosworth debuted her engagement ring at the 2023 Oscars last month, while standing next to her honeybun, actor Justin Long. We didn’t see any true closeup photos of the ring from that event, but from the photos we’ve seen, the diamond appears round. Jewelry watchers online have estimated that Bosworth’s rock is at least 10 carats—and considering how much of her finger it covers, we’d concur.
Equally precious was Bosworth’s giddy Instagram announcement of the couple’s engagement (which did not feature the ring, but rather several photos of the couple looking adorably in love): “These things are funny to announce. How to do this right? He’s going the distance? I’ve got a Blue Crush? He’s just THAT into me? I’ve won a date with…??? Ok you get it!”
