One way New York City retailer and fine jeweler Reinstein Ross celebrated the opening of its new Manhattan flagship earlier this month was by collaborating with renown collage artist Eva Lake on a series of jewelry-themed works.
Portland, Ore.-based fine artist Lake created a series of eye-catching collages (see them below) to display at the store’s opening, in cooperation with local art gallery Frosch & Co. The artworks feature Reinstein Ross jewelry and gems juxtaposed with vintage photographs of female models and wide-angle landscapes.
I’m smitten with Lake’s glamorous dreamscapes, which hover in price around $2,500 (and would be a great investment for funkier independent jewelry stores looking for a conversation-starting piece of permanent wall art). If you’re in NYC, stop by to see the surreal works—they’re on display through Jan. 28.
