Just ahead of its impressive showing at last week’s Cannes Film Festival—where its jewelry gleamed off the clavicles and limbs of several celebrities and models—venerable French jeweler Boucheron unveiled its Spring-Summer 2022 series, part of its ongoing Vendôme Liseré collection.
The Vendôme Liseré designs, with their black lacquer edgings, reflect architectural forms (an evergreen inspiration for Boucheron) including the octagonal shape of Paris’ Place Vendôme, home of the company’s headquarters and workshop (Boucheron calls the famous square its “beating heart”) viewed from above.
Prior to this season, the collection had primarily been black-and-white, with the black lacquer bordering brilliant white diamonds.
No longer. This drop introduces a rainbow of pretty pastels, via dazzling green tourmaline, pink morganite and blue aquamarine. Below, Boucheron’s fresh takes on some very timeless designs.
