For most people, the SAG Awards aren’t quite the must-see-TV affair that the Emmy’s or Oscars are. But for jewelry lovers who haven’t seen a proper Hollywood red carpet since before the pandemic? Wild horses couldn’t drag us away from the action. With all the megawatt diamonds on display, there was certainly no shortage of ice (but suddenly, we have zero chill).
Let’s get into it!

Red carpet Twitter was besotted with Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez’s look and so are we: A black velvet Oscar de la Renta gown plus major Bulgari diamonds— a high-jewelry Serpenti necklace and a high-jewelry ring set with a 9.89-carat cushion-cut Columbian emerald (paired with lustrous emerald-green nails)—kicked the party off right. “We really wanted to do tons of jewelry, and [the ring] is a major emerald,” Gomez’s stylist Kate Young told the Hollywood Reporter. “Together with the velvet, the look feels really grand and over the top and interesting.”

Two words: Cynthia Erivo. Two more: Red hot. The Genius: Aretha star’s look was a LVHM-owned Tiffany dream combining a Louis Vuitton gown with Tiffany & Co. jewels, most notably her enormous Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Sea Fan earrings in gold and diamonds. She was also wearing at least six rings from various Tiffany & Co. collections including two ruby-and diamond rings from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book collection.

We didn’t know how much we’d been starved for some Cate Blanchett-level glamour till the Don’t Look Up star popped up on Instagram during the 2022 SAG Awards red carpet preview, teasing us with a shot of her fingers—and multiple Pomellato rings. And then we saw the dress: An Armani Privé creation with a gorgeously plunging neckline trimmed in what was basically a lei made with bold, chunky genuine onyx stones. Simple emerald and diamond bead drop earrings, also by Pomellato, completed the effortless-feeling look.

White Lotus star Alexandra Daddario fittingly paired her smoldering silver Atelier Versace gown with dramatic floral-motif diamond earrings from De Beers. Featuring cognac diamonds in a cocoon of petals set with white round brilliant and baguette stones, the design was finished with cascading diamond fringe. A matching floral ring added the finishing touch.

Elle Fanning, who plays empress Catherine the Great in The Great, went with for anti-princess vibes in her chic Gucci menswear-inspired ensemble, However, she did go full-on femme with the centerpiece jewel of her look: a Cartier necklace set with a blush-pink morganite fastened just below her silk georgette bow-tie. A selection of diamond rings by Pasquale Bruni ensured she twinkled from head to toe.

And last but not least, House of Gucci star (and all around red-carpet queen) Lady Gaga brought the heat in a crystal-embroidered bombshell gown by Armani and a trio of Tiffany & Co. jewels. The undeniable “leading lady” of this glamorous grouping was the Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Flowers and Leaves necklace in 18k yellow gold and platinum with diamonds from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book collection. This marvelous display was complemented by diamond drop earrings and an impressive ring set with more than 8 cts. t.w. of diamonds (also from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book collection).
