On The Road: WJA’s Awards for Excellence in New York City

Welcome to On the Road!

Last week saw the return of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s Awards for Excellence at Pier 61 in New York City. We’ve always especially enjoyed this evening event, and its cocktail party is a legendary networking opportunity.  This year’s version—although much smaller than usual, as the world slowly opens again—was just as much a celebration of friendship and accomplishment as ever!

Huge congrats to Karen Goracke, CEO of Borsheim’s, for her recognition as a WJA Visionary Award winner!  Congrats, too, to the legendary Fern Mallis, founder of New York Fashion Week and now a consultant to the jewelry industry, who’s this year’s other Visionary Award winner.

Congrats to WJA executive director Jennifer Markas, WJA membership and operations manager
Rachel Jurisz, and their teams on a very successful night. Below are some photos of the evening, which was full of fun introductions and the welcome rekindling of friendships!
