October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and jewelry brands on every tier are donating to nonprofits that help fund breast cancer research, treatment, awareness, and education.
Some companies choose to make a once-a-year donation to breast cancer nonprofits, usually in October. But more often, brands tie their philanthropy to a percentage of sales from a jewelry style (sometimes expressly made for the campaign) or collection. That setup is a win-win: consumers get something they love that also benefits a great cause, while retailers make a sale, support vital nonprofits, and burnish their reputation with shoppers.
Here’s how five in-demand jewelry brands are honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month in 2021:

Charles & Colvard’s Caydia Bracelet
Lab-grown gemstone jewelry brand Charles & Colvard is donating 15% of the net proceeds from the sale of its new 14k rose gold Caydia bangle—featuring 2.25 cts. t.w. lab-grown diamonds—to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which facilitates cancer research.
Hillary Watson, senior director of sales and merchandising, tells The Zing Report, “We chose this piece not only because of the rose gold, but because its shape represents continuous strength, and lab-grown diamonds represent a movement forward, towards a cure.”

With Love Darling’s Power of Pink collection
Designed exclusively to support leading cancer research hospital City of Hope, 100% of proceeds from Love Darling’s four-piece Power of Pink collection of beaded, casually chic jewels are being donated to fund the treatment and diagnosis of breast cancer throughout October.

Up-and-coming fine jewelry brand Awe Inspired donates 20% of every purchase to a hand-selected stable of charity partners. But this month, it’s doubling its donations—from 20% to 40%—to nonprofit Cancer Care, which provides free professional support to people with cancer.

Catherine Weitzman’s Shaker Necklace
Throughout October, jewelry designer Catherine Weitzman is donating 100% of the proceeds from sales of her super-cute $145 pink Shaker necklace (pink is the signature color of breast cancer awareness) to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Sterling Forever’s Empower Bracelet
Jewelry manufacturer Sterling Forever is donating 40% of net proceeds from the sale of its $54 Empower Beaded Bracelet to Breast Cancer Angels, an organization that provides funds to pay mortgages, rent, and other essentials—allowing breast cancer patients to focus on healing.

Garcelle x Roni Blanshay Pink Power Earrings
Actress Garcelle Beauvais has teamed up with jeweler Roni Blanshay on a jewelry collection, and 50% of the proceeds from sales of the collection’s Pink Power earrings are headed to the American Cancer Society.
